I had talked with a friend earlier this week. Before we said good bye she asked if I was still planning on attending her baby shower on Saturday. I hadn't yet decided yet, but told her that I would be there. Now I had to go. I was committed. 1:30 on Saturday, I'd be there.
On Saturday I drove down to Rigby. The house the shower was being held at was easy enough to find. I had passed the subdivision many times on my way to Ty's house. I started feeling a bit hesitant when I observed the lack of cars in the driveway. I checked the time. 1:30 on the dot. "I'm on time, and everyone else must be late, everyone." I reasoned.
I walked up to the door. A middle-aged lady answered. I asked, "Hi, is this where the shower is at?" She looked at me kind of oddly. Then her eyes lit up. "Rebekah's?" Yes! I had hope.
"Oh, that's next week", she told me.
I felt just a little stupid. But, it didn't end up being so bad. I had a nice conversation with her. She is a very pleasant person. She had Josh Groban cranked on in the room, and I thought that was funny. Once she found out I'm a photographer, she wanted to show me some of her shots. Come around next week, it'll be like we're old buds.

Blogging Fever
It has begun. On the first night after my decision to become a regular blogger, I laid awake at night with ideas running through my head of what I could write about, new pictures I could add, etc. It's already addictive. Now I just need something interesting to write about.
I went to Institute yesterday. I went to "Teachings of the Living Prophets". The instructor divided us into groups, and as everyone was meeting together, I found this the opportune moment to slip out. Don't think that about me, I did go to another class, D&C. Good class, good thoughts, but the reason I am telling this occured after class. I kid, Langston ("You can remember it better if you write it down" -direct quote) came over to me and started, how should I saw this, started mimicking some sort of growling animal.
Oddly enough, I didn't exactly know how to respond to this. So I just stared at him and followed this wise advice: "just smile and nod". So I did. Some dialogue was exchanged between us.
K: "What are you doing?"
Langston: "Being wierd".
K. "You accomplish this very well. Good to see you again".
He left. I laughed.
This is not the first encounter I have had with this Langston. A little shy of a year ago we both attended the same canoe trip. I was standing on the shore of the river afterwards talking with a friend, when all of the sudden my head was hit aggressively. I looked around, and there was Langston.
"There was a fly in your hair," the owner of the wacking hand said (aka Langston).
"How very thoughtful of you. Thank you Langston". I pleasantly replied with a smile (some people can't help it.
It makes me wonder at times, am I single because I am wierd? Scary thoughts.
