New Toothbrushes

One of the perks of having a dental hygienest for a roommate and friend is getting a great toothbrush for a fantastic price :)

Laura ordered sonicare brushes for me, Brian, and Wayne. We all got together for our toothbrush's maiden brushings!

Yay for good toothbrushes! It betta' help! ;)

DEMOLITION DERBY!!!

Dere's nuttin' like sum good ole' redneck fun! This weekend Sam and I went with a bunch of friends to the Demolition Derby at the Madison Fairgrounds. It was a riot! Glenn Beck even came out to our neck of the woods! (Yes, THAT Glenn Beck :) ).

Na na na na na na na na, Na na na na na na na na... BATMAN!! And Robin.

Too cute of a picture to pass up!

Remember, this is the Madison Derby, so I think we'll have to wait for the St. Anthony Derby to get all those fun shots of hick mullets ;)

Pop's Birthday!

It was my Dad's birthday on Sunday. I got the task of making his cake! Speaking of eating something that looks like something else, I saw these cute cupcakes on Bakerella (I just love that name by the way! BAKE-eralla...get it? Cinderella spent all her time in the kitchen by the cinders. Bakerella spends her time in the kitchen baking. hehe :) )

I was pleased with my work. :)

Since Dad likes to mow the lawn, I made the other part of the cake look like grass and found a John Deere mower in the grandkids' playbox (No worries, I washed it!) to put on top. (So it looked like grass, you see? Not just a square of badly frosted cake. I was slightly concerned that my cake could end up on cakewrecks someday. Then I remembered I'm no professional. I'm safe! :) )

Dad blowing out his candles!

This is the gift Heidi found for the three of us daughters to give him. Pretty spiffy, eh? The eyes tick back and forth even! It must miss Ohio though. I heard it made a break for it around 2:15 a.m. Didn't get far, thank goodness!

Happy Birthday Dad! Sure do love ya!

FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Laura and I went to the store and we found some hot dogs! But better...they were DONUT hot dogs! [Hot dog! Hot dog! Hot diggity dog!] We had a fun time eating them and taking pictures. For some strange reason, it's oddly exciting to eat food that looks like a different kind of food.

We ate at the park and watched an episode of Smallville. [It's been WEEKS! Seriously! The reunion with Clark was well recieved :) ]

Whilst we were watching Clark on my laptop, this creeper man came up and asked, "Can I watch what you are doing?" He was an older, skinny man with a backpack and a helmet.

I thought to myself, "You want to watch me and my friend lay here on a blanket watching a movie? Whatev, just do it at a distance, Creep-o."

I let laura do the talking since I was so creeped out by him. She said we were watching a t.v. show and it was almost over. He asked how much my computer cost. So then I was alert and on guard to protect my macbook, planning my possible actions if he did by chance make a grab at my computer. Laura offered him a banana, to which he declined because he was currently unable to chew food.

To my relief the man FINALLY left. Laura looked at me and said, "What? Did you think he was going to steal your computer?" Well, as a matter of fact... I sure did. I felt so sheepish... Katie, get a grip on your imagination! ;)

Ice cream! I just threw this picture in because I wanted to. Because ice cream pretty much is one of the best things. Ever.
