I had talked with a friend earlier this week. Before we said good bye she asked if I was still planning on attending her baby shower on Saturday. I hadn't yet decided yet, but told her that I would be there. Now I had to go. I was committed. 1:30 on Saturday, I'd be there.
On Saturday I drove down to Rigby. The house the shower was being held at was easy enough to find. I had passed the subdivision many times on my way to Ty's house. I started feeling a bit hesitant when I observed the lack of cars in the driveway. I checked the time. 1:30 on the dot. "I'm on time, and everyone else must be late, everyone." I reasoned.
I walked up to the door. A middle-aged lady answered. I asked, "Hi, is this where the shower is at?" She looked at me kind of oddly. Then her eyes lit up. "Rebekah's?" Yes! I had hope.
"Oh, that's next week", she told me.
I felt just a little stupid. But, it didn't end up being so bad. I had a nice conversation with her. She is a very pleasant person. She had Josh Groban cranked on in the room, and I thought that was funny. Once she found out I'm a photographer, she wanted to show me some of her shots. Come around next week, it'll be like we're old buds.

That is too funny! I have done that before only it was scheduled the next day. I don't know how I did that!
I probably would've driven around the block a time (or two or three) and waited for somebody else to show up first. I like to be on time, but hate showing up first to stuff like that.
Haha haha haha... sorry that's too funny. So did you actually make it to the real baby shower?
That is funny, I'm sorry you had to go through that. =) Like you said "Best Buds" so, are you?
