Our State Fair is a Great State Fair! (Sing it with me!)

A couple weekends ago I had babysitting duty while Heidi and Josh were in Italy and Mom was in Utah. The weekend happened to be the last Saturday the fair would be in Blackfoot. I wanted to go experience the fair and Allie was pretty excited about it too when I asked her if she wanted to go. I don't think she really understood what it was. Despite that, she was eager to go! She went right out to my car and buckled herself in and was ready to go within 5 minutes. Imagine her disappointment when I went over and told her we weren't going to leave for another three and a half hours. She told me that was okay, she would just "sit in the car and wait". Eventually I was able to persuade her out of the car.

Soon enough, the strollers were loaded and we were on our way to the fair! We even got to see Ty, Annj, Jake, Elizza, and Marriah :)

We watched Tyler and Jake ride the airplane.

Next we went to ride the little cars.

When we were all in Lovell visiting Grandpa and Grandma H, these two loved Spencer and Zach's little car similar to these. There were enough cars that they wouldn't have to fight over who got to ride one here. Despite that, Luke was more interested in drawing on the chalkboard.

We went to the petting zoo after that. Luke and Allie both loved the bunny!

Luke had a fascination with this goats tail. He would follow it around and play with it when he got the chance. (No worries J and H. We sanitized when we left, and I washed their hands when we found a bathroom. :) )

Sam had a fascination with it's belly! Look at it! I couldn't decide if it was prego, full with milk, or had some sort of disease. :)

By the way, Sam is the best! How many single women would willingly give their Saturday night pushing a stroller around a state fair by choice? Right. Sam's the greatest!

Next, check out this amazing quilt!! Annj showed it to me. Obviously, those are all little tiny squares. It said how many squares it took. I forgot. But it was A LOT! Another amazing this about this quilt? It was made by a ... GUY!!! Very impressive.

I spent the night with the kids and they came to church with me the next morning. For primary we took a field trip up to the Rexburg temple. :)

It was a great weekend with Allie and Luke. I sure miss them!

Wow you are a brave woman. I thought about going to the fair, but knew there was no way I could handle five kids by myself. Glad you got to go. Looks like you had a fun weekend!

I am brave! (Or stupid...) It really wasn't so bad. And I think they enjoyed it so it was worth it.
