Hats, Hats, Hats!...and a Wig

Last week I took a trip up to Graham, Washington with my roommate, Laura, and her brother, Nick.

We left right after Laura and I got off work. "Drive drive drive, all night long. Drive drive drive, while we sing this song. Gonna drive all night. Gonna make it there. Gonna arrive at Grandma's at 4 a.m."

When we got up the next morning, Grandma was talking about her hats. She told Laura and I we could try them on later. I know, I know what you are thinking. I'm in my twenty-fourth year! Isn't that kinda old to be playing dress up? Too bad. After all these years, I don't believe I've ever grown out of the stage of having a ball dressing up. Truth be told, my sight doesn't show an end to this form of enjoyment. Ever. :) Needless to say, I looked forward to this event with much anticipation.

That afternoon we went to the Pierce County Fair. Can't go to the fair without getting some fried food! (And it wouldn't be a Sophisti-Kate-tion blog entry without the mention of some kind of food, right?)

After some "fair"ly [heheh :)] good food, we all went home to take a nap.

Laura and I slept in Grandma's old sleep number bed. AKA, "The Dream Bed". I didn't think of it as that only because it was so cozy! But because I also seemed to dream a lot while sleeping on it too.

After a wonderful dinner, it was finally time to try on the hats! It was a blast! Grandma wasn't lying, she had tons!

SO much fun! Then while we were putting the hat boxes away, we found this little number in the closet!
Ha ha ha!

WHAT a par-T! Thanks for the good times Grandma Inman!

That is sweet! I'm thinking I might have to start my own collection!
